Privacy Policy
Your privacy is important.
This website is operated by Serene Minds Wellness and is intended to provide general information about services offered. Any personal information you choose to submit through this website (such as through contact forms, email inquiries, or appointment requests) is kept confidential and used only for the purpose of responding to your inquiry or providing services.

Protected Health Information (PHI) is handled in accordance with applicable federal and California laws, including the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and the California Confidentiality of Medical Information Act (CMIA). Clinical information shared during therapy sessions - whether provided in person or via secure, HIPAA-compliant telehealth platforms - is safeguarded with appropriate administrative, technical, and physical protections.

This website itself does not provide psychotherapy or crisis services and should not be used to transmit sensitive clinical information. Email and website contact forms are not guaranteed to be fully secure, and clients are encouraged to avoid sharing confidential or urgent information through these methods.

Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), California residents have certain rights regarding their personal information, including the right to request access, deletion, or restriction of personal information collected through this website. Serene Minds Wellness does not sell personal information and will only share it with third parties as required by law or with your explicit consent.

California law also provides clients with the right to request a good faith estimate of the fees for health care services prior to receiving care (Health & Safety Code § 1371.30–1371.36). Clients may contact Serene Minds Wellness at any time to obtain a fee estimate for therapy sessions or related services.
Personal information is never sold, shared, or disclosed to third parties without written authorization, except as required by law. For a full explanation of privacy practices related to therapy services, clients receive a separate Notice of Privacy Practices during the intake process.
